Located northwest of continental
Europe, to it's east is the island of Great
Britain.
Politicaly is is divided into the Republic
of Ireland, a sovereign state occupying
five-sixths of the island. The remaining
sixth known as North Ireland is part of
the United Kingdom.
Hopefully not for much longer.
Population is just under 6 million.
